Alex Black is the Chief Executive Officer at Sonoton Music.

He is a strong operations professional with a Master’s Degree focused in Business Administration from The Open University and has been a member of the European Production Music Association (EPMA) since 2015 (This association later evolved into IPMG).

He was the Global Director at EMI Production Music (EMI Music Publishing) from 2013-2021 and the Managing Director at Boosey & Hawkes / Imagem Production from 2007-2013.

Alex has also been a Member of the Commercial Advisory Group (CAG) and Co-Chair of the Library Publisher Advisory Group (LPAG) at PRS for Music between 2008-2021.
